The Barbarian is thriving once again:

Hammer of the Ancients (HoTA) is back as a top-tier build, with players clearing Tier 100 Pits in under 10 minutes.

Dual Swing excels in Infernal Hordes thanks to dense mob packs.

Mighty Throw remains strong for specialized content.

Chaos Armor gives Barbarians incredible flexibility to stack survivability and damage uniques together. Expect HoTA and Dual Swing to define the Barbarian meta this season.

PTR Verdict:Strong, versatile, and finally back on top.

Druid – Overabundance Perk = Game-Breaking

Druid is hands-down the most broken class on PTR right now.

Overabundance perk supercharges builds, especially Storm Ravens, which are demolishing Pit 150 runs.

Companion builds look like the best all-around option going into launch.

Shred Druids and Tempest Roar setups also gain huge value from Chaos Armor slot-swapping.

Even if Overabundance is nerfed before release, Druids are locked in as a dominant force.

PTR Verdict:Completely overpowered — expect nerfs.

Necromancer – Blood Wave Becomes Core

Necromancers are thriving thanks to new perk synergies:

Alter the Balance turns Blood Wave into a spammable core skill.

Alternating Alterations multiplies damage when swapping core skills.

Together, these perks create a machine-gun Blood Wave build with monstrous scaling.

With Chaos Armor moving Bloodless Scream into off-slots, Necros can free up weapons for even more power.

Other builds:

Bone Spear remains a staple.

Skeletal Mages show potential but still struggle with AI.

PTR Verdict:Meta-defining powerhouse, Blood Wave Necro is the new boss killer.

Rogue – Still the Weak Link

Rogue continues to lag behind other classes, but there are bright spots:

Death Trap builds remain the most reliable and excel in Infernal Hordes.

Twisting Blades, dominant last season, doesn’t mesh well with Chaos Perks and has dropped off.

A new reload-based unique offers burst DPS potential, but it’s clunky and lacks good UI support.

Chaos Perk combos like A Beast Cornered + Marred Guard can boost Rogue damage, but the survivability tradeoff makes it risky.

PTR Verdict:Playable, but still underpowered. Stick with Death Trap.

Sorcerer – Hydra Consistent, Fireball Situational

The Sorcerer continues to straddle two playstyles:

Hydra builds stay strong for general farming and Infernal Hordes.

Fireball bounce builds thrive in Pit pushing, but only on wide-open maps with add-heavy bosses.

Chaos Perks:

Mana Shield sounded broken (redirecting damage to mana), but it drains resources too fast at higher tiers.

Instead, most Sorcs lean on A Beast Cornered and Marred Guard for balance between damage and survival.

PTR Verdict:Stable and competitive, but not game-breaking.

Spiritborn – Nerfed but Reliable

The newest class, Spiritborn, has seen some tuning down:

Jaguar Primary Spirit Hall was nerfed, weakening top Season 9 builds.

Quill Volley dropped in efficiency.

Crushing Hand and Rake remain strong, with Rake likely leading the charge in Season 10.

PTR Verdict:No longer busted, but still solid.

Season 10 PTR has revealed one of the most chaotic metas yet. Chaos Armor and Chaos Perks have rewritten the build landscape, giving rise to powerhouse Druids and Necromancers, a resurgent Barbarian, and steady Sorcerer options. Rogues and Spiritborn trail behind slightly, but every class has at least one competitive setup for Infernal Hordes.
