Bloodied Items & Killstreak System

Similar to the sigils, we're getting Bloodied Items—gear pieces with red-tinted modifiers that interact with a new killstreak mechanic. As you chain kills, you'll build up killstreak tiers (visible as a red chain meter in the center of your screen), unlocking stacking bonuses.

Top Bloodied Modifiers I encountered:

· Critical Strike Chance per killstreak tier – Excellent for consistent damage

· Attack Speed per killstreak tier – Great for ramp-up builds

· Feast (weapon tag): Every 40 kills resets two random cooldowns completely – This is insane for ultimate ability uptime

Hidden Feature: Transformation System?

During the playtest, I noticed an achievement placeholder: "Hastily Butchered" – Defeat 100 monsters within 10 seconds as the Butcher. The Reality Check: Despite losing what amounts to thousands of times damage multiplier, Paladin was so overtuned that it remains a top-tier class. You'll still hit for millions to billions with builds like the new Thorns setup shown in my gameplay.

Current Meta Outlook:

· Paladin – Still very playable and strong

· Spearborn – Remains highly competitive

· Barbarian – Looking much stronger, especially bleed variants

· Other classes – Receiving substantial Paragon buffs (10-30x improvements)

· The meta will feel familiar, but with more viable options across the board—except Paladin players will notice the damage loss (even if the class is still good).

The Season 12 Wish List

Based on my playtest experience and community feedback, here's what I'm hoping to see in Season 12:

1. The Warlock Class (The Dream)

Everyone wants this. A new class would be the ultimate wish list item. While official information suggests Warlock isn't launching with Season 12 (more likely reserved for Season 13 alongside the second expansion), remember: none of us knew about Paladin's surprise release either. If Blizzard surprises us again, this would be the absolute highlight.

2. No Non-Greater Ancestrals in Tormented 4

We're getting a loot filter, which helps. But realistically, if I'm playing in the highest difficulty, non-Greater Ancestral items are instant garbage. Until Season 13's cube recipe (3:1 conversion for same-item-type rerolling, including uniques) arrives, I'd love to see T4 simply stop dropping non-GA gear entirely.

3. A Hype Seasonal Power System

The Bloodied Items, while interesting, feel underwhelming compared to previous seasons. The Witchcraft powers set a high bar. The killstreak-dependent modifiers lose all value during boss fights—which is where they'd matter most. I'd love to see:

· A proper seasonal power window with meaningful choices

· Options to extend killstreak duration or maintain stacks during boss encounters

· A power that grants max killstreaks during boss fights

· Transformation mechanics (based on that Butcher achievement tease)

4. Extractable Bloodied Modifiers

Currently, Bloodied modifiers are completely random on drop and cannot be added or changed. This creates an absurd RNG wall:

· Item must drop

· Must be Greater Ancestral

· Must have correct GA stats

· Must have correct regular modifiers

· Must also have the perfect Bloodied modifier

· The odds are worse than sanctification. I'm hoping for a syringe-type extraction system that lets us pull the Bloodied modifier and apply it to another item. This would make even non-GA Bloodied drops valuable.

5. Killstreak Uptime During Bosses

The current implementation means you ramp up to 700+ killstreaks in density, then hit a boss portal, transition, and lose everything. There's even a hidden 9,000+ killstreak tier that's practically impossible to reach given this limitation. Solutions:

· Add adds during boss fights to maintain streaks

· Let killstreak duration extend through transitions

· Give bosses a built-in streak multiplier

6. Buff Underperforming Skills

I'm talking about builds that can't even clear Pit 80 for average players:

· Frozen Orb Sorceress

· Rabies Druid (buffed repeatedly but still ignored)

· Other neglected specs that deserve numerical buffs

· We don't need new uniques for every build—just meaningful number adjustments to shake up the meta. Let players enjoy their favorite skills without being forced into the same 3 builds.

7. More Unique Items

There are several new uniques dropping in Season 12, and some look genuinely promising. I'll be covering these in a dedicated video, but more variety in chase items is always welcome.

Tips for Launch Day

What class are YOU starting? I'm locked in on Paladin unless Warlock drops as a surprise. Here's my advice based on the playtest:

1. Don't sleep on Bloodied Nightmare Sigils – The Relentless Butcher modifier adds real challenge and rewards, but be prepared for constant pressure

2. Farm killstreak-friendly content – Dungeons with high density are where Bloodied Items shine

3. Check every Bloodied drop – Even if the base item isn't great, the modifier might be worth saving if extraction becomes possible

4. Infernal Hordes Butcher encounters are survival checks – Don't expect to kill them; focus on staying alive

Season 12 has solid foundations with the Bloodied system, but it needs some polish to reach its potential. The killstreak mechanic is fun during clearing but falls flat against bosses.
